Is it just me...?

Or does ALL of the 'art' on the front page right now suck? This isn't just a few bad eggs, this is a page full of borderline porno and fan art that looks like it was done in paint by a twelve year old. Is DeviantArt having some technical issues or has everyone's sense of aesthetics gone out the window?! Please say it's not just me.

Other than that minor irritant, I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. If you really knew me you would know how excited I was to get in to the animation program at Algonquin College. I was honored and over the moon. But as the first day drew closer I became more and more anxious and sad. I really don't know why. Actually starting didn't help, I just became more and more irritated. Maybe animation just isn't for me? I was honestly only doing it to try to improve my art skills enough to get into comics, as well as my self-esteem, but I didn't seem to have the same knack or passion for it as my classmates. So I've decided to take a risk and leave.

I'm going to try something new, work on my own stuff, comics and writing (and psyche heh) and see where I go from there. This isn't the end of school for me. Not by a long shot.I honestly love learning WAY too much, plus being around other artists is a LOT of fun. I just have to find the right program for me.

This is not to say that you won't see my name attached to some animated something or other some day (wow, that would be neat) or that I will never go into another animation program (I may even reapply for this one in the future), I just know that this isn't right for me right now.

Until I figure things out I will keep drawing, keep practicing and working and trying to improve. Things will get better!!!
